The festive season is around the corner and Ramada Plaza Guindy by PR Grand is super excited to kick start the festivities with pomp and splendor . An annual affair , the ceremony this year was a merry event , with live music , varieties of Christmas bakes , and High Tea . The Cake Mixing Ceremony is believed to have originated in the 17th century ; it was practiced in traditional Christian households , indicating the arrival of the harvest season . During this time , fruits and nuts are harvested and prepared to be a part of the traditional Christmas Plum Cake . Part of the mix was carried over in the hope that the following year would also bring forth an abundant harvest : During the ceremony . Ramada Plaza , Guindy displayed the specialties of their restaurants , The Buffet Square , The Scallion , and Extase on the Rooftop , and offered . refreshing and premium beverages with an unrivalled culinary experience .
Sandeep Bhatnagar , the Chief Operating Officer of SRM Hotels & Ramada Plaza Chennai , spoke to the press on this joyous occasion of the Cake Mixing Ceremony , which was celebrated on October 28th , 2022 by industry experts , celebrities like Ms Poornima Bhagyaraj , Ms Sakshi Agarwal and socialites from the city . Sandeep highlighted the upcoming food festivals and programs lined up in the coming months and thanked all his guests for attending this delightful event . Sandeep also shared SRM Hotels plans to expand and increase the number of hotels through management as well as franchise routes thereby helping independent owners and investors in Tamil Nadu to run successful hotels.
Ramada Plaza Guindy made the event more interesting with their Christmas Themed Beverages , Santa Clausmopolitans , Gingerbread martini , Christmas Lights , Festive punch , The snow man and many more . Almost 60 kg of an assortment of dry fruits such as cashews , almonds , figs , apricots , raisins , black currants and a selection of premium liquor are mixed during the ceremony . These dry fruits are imbibed in the imported liquors , and beverages for around 40 days before baking begins . The guests were provided with chef hats , aprons and gloves . Mixing all the ingredients by hand was truly a traditional and unforgettable experience for all . A memory to be cherished forever
